• Name:  Is the common or alternative name for the level of testing.
  
  
• Timing Equipment:  What equipment is used to time the drills.  Is it a stop watch (in which the times are not really comparable) or the proprietary SportQuest timing gear that measures to 100th of a second and results in scores that are comparable.

• Who does the testing:  Coaches and Associations can test themselves but to get a true comparison of test scores you should get a certified SportQuest Licensed tester to test your team.  Contact a local SportQuest representative in your area for more information.
  
  
• Drills:  
  A. On-Ice Drills: SportQuest has a large number of n-ce drills that have been used and developed with Hockey Canada and used around the world for over 15 years.  Obviously the more drills that are doen the more information and analysis and information you can get about a player, but there is a trade off between number of drills and the ice costs.  The more drills the better information but the longer the testing will take and the more the ice will cost.  We have found that SportQuest's 1-14 main drills are the best overall snapshot of a players overall ability.  These 14 drills have been used all overt the world by SportQuest, Hockey Canada and NIKE.   
  
  B. Off-Ice drills: are the same ones used for the NHL draft.  Off-ice drills complement the one-ice drills and give a whole picture of a player.  Two players may have the same ability on the ice but one may need to work on their fitness.
  
• Skill analysis  The free package has only general skills and does not differentiate between left or right skills.  The SportQuest drills isolate specific skills (i.e. left or right).  The analysis of and development is more efficient if you can break down the skills into specific components.  Just like a dragster ......... 
  
  
• Database:  What database are the scores compared to?  The free package scores are compared agianst Hockey Canada's Skilltesting database of scores. The SportQuest packages are compared to the largest, most accurate, comparable hockey skill database in the world. 
  
  
• Comparison:  The scores for the free Hockey Canada skilltesting can be compared online to a static page with the average and best score for each test for each age.  The scores from the SportQuest bronze package are compared to the SportQuest true international database but they are not included in it because the scores are done with a stopwatch (i.e. not accurate or comparable).  The Silver to Platinum packages are a true comparison and included in the true SportQuest International database.  
  
  
• Part of Database?:  The scores from the free Hockey Canada skilltesting and from the SportQuest bronze package are not included in the database they are just compared to these databases.  The scores from the Silver to Platinum packages are included and added to the true SportQuest International database. 
  
  
• Dynamic Database:  The scores from the free Hockey Canada skilltesting and from the SportQuest bronze package are static and do not change when new scores are compared to the database (i.e. because they are not included in the database they are just compared to these database).  The scores from the Silver to Platinum packages are added to the true SportQuest International database and changes when new scores are added. 
  
  
• Reporting:  The reports from the free Hockey Canada skilltesting and the SportQuest bronze package are very general and basic.  The reports Silver to Platinum packages are very extensive.
  
  
• Player Analysis  Players from the free Hockey Canada skilltesting are compared to themselves with repeat testing.  The player's scores for the SportQuest tests have the players compared to players in the database that are the same age, gender and position.
  
• Team Analysis:  Players from the free Hockey Canada skilltesting are compared to the rest of the team.  SportQuest's team analysis give team summaries, rankings and sorting by tests etc. 
  
• Player Fee:  The cost Hockey Canada skilltesting is free.  The SportQuest bronze package cost $3 per player and coaches associations can prepay and get credits to upload players online with a PayPal account.
  
  The cost for the Silver to Platinum packages may vary due to the number of tests, ice cost and how available a local certified SportQuest evaluator is.
